SABIAN – The modern, innovative cymbal brand……with traditional roots.
Founded in late 1981, SABIAN continue to advance the centuries-old art of cymbal making with innovative, award-winning products that have transformed the cymbal industry. Whilst maintaining the hand hammering skills of the traditional cymbal artisans, SABIAN have also advanced cymbal design further in the last 27 years than all other cymbal makers have done over the last 400 years.
 SABIAN’s cymbal sound spectrum comprises 4 main categories: Modern, Vintage, Creative and Bronze Beginnings. Underpinning these headings are 10 SABIAN cymbal series, including SABIAN’s core brands – AA, HH, AAX and HHX.
The traditional Vintage Dark sounds of HH cymbals and the Vintage Bright sounds of AA have been updated within the Modern Dark sounds of HHX and the Modern Bright sounds of AAX.
The ‘Tone Projection’ design of HHX delivers the hot, simmering darkness craved by top drummers such as Dave Weckl, Mike Portnoy, Brian Frasier-Moore and Tomas Haake. The modern ‘Dynamic Focus’  design of the AAX cymbal range provides consistently crisp, clear response and shimmering sounds at all volume levels. AAX cymbals are the ‘bronze of choice’ for players such as Roy Mayorga, Xavier Muriel, Daniel Adair and Andy Hurley.
Along with these innovative designs, SABIAN have also developed the individual and often highly personalised sounds of their Vault collection in collaboration with renowned artists such as David Garibaldi, Jojo Mayer, Jeff ‘Tain’ Watts and Will Calhoun.
