Octavius is the only octaver you will ever need, featuring legendary T Rex build quality, superb control and tracking on both low and hi octaves and also a brilliant Boost function. Two separate controls adjust the level for your High and Low Octaves against your normal signal, with an Overall Level control and volume Boost control completing the simple 4 knob setup. There are two footswitches: Octave On/ Off and Boost On/ Off to kick up the volume for solos. AXL have expanded on the distinctive Badwater range with the 1216, a new take on the single cutaway design. All 1216 models are built from a solid Alder body with a solid 24 3/4" Mahogany neck and Rosewood fretboard for warmth, and each guitar body has been distressed individually by the AXL workshop so no two are alike.
Accentuating the worn look of these guitars, the 1216 also comes with carefully antiqued pickguard, tone and volume knobs, and anodized tuning machines, bridge assembly and strap buttons. Each guitar is unique and has a vintage feel, but EMG designed Alnico humbuckers give them plenty of bite and growl and complete a very distinctive package.
The 1216 are available in all five popular Badwater finishes (crackle blue, crackle black, crackle brown, antique white and antique brown), SSP start at £199 and they are available now!

The TransAtlantic is here!
New from Mesa Engineering: one of the most talked about amplifiers of the 2010 NAMM show, the TransAtlantic has now landed in the UK. Feature packed and impossibly stylish (check out those blue lights!) the TA-15 crams classic British and American amp tones into an ultra- compact package.
Features like patented Multi Watt™ power switching mean that each channel can be switched between 5, 15 or 25 watts for maximum flexibility and headroom, and a push pull Cut/ Master Volume means you can have the tone you want whether at home or onstage. Even the supplied channel footswitch and carry bag are are a touch of Boogie class.
2 Fully Independent Channels with 5 Style Modes - Channel 1 features Normal (Brit Clean) or Top Boost Modes. NAMM 2010 saw the launch of a brand new series of performance guitars from C.F. Martin. The Performing Artist Series, successfully marries premium quality materials with player comfort. Constructed from Solid Sitka Spruce (top) and Solid East Indian Rosewood these stunning instruments come in three great cutaway flavours: GP Grand Performance, OM Orchestra & D Dreadnought.
The C.F. Martin craftsmanship and premium quality materials combined with the stunning realism of the award-winning Aura Acoustic Imaging technology makes these guitars world class in terms of both features and playability. Talking of playability these models feature a more parallel neck profile with a slimmer taper at the 12th fret, giving the guitar comfortable width in the first few frets plus a faster feel for lead work. The fingerboard is decorated with blue paua inlays, a squares flanked by arrows design. The same blue paua pearl combines with wood inlays to border the soundhole and the entire body, neck and headplate are bound in wood. The solid sitka spruce top is finished with a finely polished gloss lacquer.
On-board control is handled by two low profile control buttons and beautiful large bright LED display, which is not dissimilar to a wristwatch I had in the 1980’s. These offer access to an impressive array of professional features.
