The SABIAN Cymbal Vote is back! Once again, drummers will have the chance to decide which new cymbals SABIAN will release in 2013 – but this time they will be able to play them before voting.
The 12 new cymbal models, developed by the innovative SABIAN Vault team, will be shipped to select dealers for the Cymbal Vote Tour, allowing customers to try them first-hand in store.
For those who are unable to get out and play the cymbals in person, the Cymbal Vote website will once again feature compelling video of SABIAN artists playing and commenting on the 12 models. Top players like Mike Portnoy, Ray Luzier and Tony Royster Jr. will take the cymbals for a test-drive and allow their views to be heard loud and clear.
When Sabian launched the Cymbal Vote website in 2012, it was the first time a major cymbal manufacturer had allowed its customers to choose their annual product offering. Starting with a dozen tantalizing cymbal models, drummers were able to vote in a series of elimination rounds until a final four remained, which were officially launched at the 2012 NAMM show. That program was incredibly successful, and now by offering the chance to play the cymbals first-hand, Cymbal Vote 2013 promises to be even bigger!
The Cymbal Vote Tour will be stopping at the following venues throughout September and October. Two sets of cymbals will travel the North and South of the UK, and will be in stores for the entire weekend around these dates:
