SABIAN 20″ AAX Iso Ride Cymbal Vote Prototype

This Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th, the Olympia Conference centre welcomes back the London Drum Show, and as usual Westside and all our drum and percussion brands will be there in force. This year we are lucky enough to be bringing SABIAN, Drum Workshop Hardware, PDP Drums and Gon Bops percussion, and we can’t wait!

This year marks the 30th anniversary of SABIAN cymbals and they are celebrating in style. A massive, extra special anniversary display will be in place to mark this event. The full Cymbal Vote Tour will be on display, letting the public choose which 4 cymbals from 12 prototypes will go into production in 2013. You can also try the four new Players Choice cymbals whcih are new for 2012. On the Live Stage and opening the event will  be drum virtuoso Virgil Donati, while Ralph Salmins and Karl Brazil bring their successful Artisan Clinic tour to the Masterclass stage on both days.

The newly updated DW 5000 Kick Pedal

Drum Workshop Hardware will be displaying the newly updated 5000 pedal, featuring a host of evolutionary improvements on what is already an industry standard classic design. The Tri Point Toe Clamp provides more gripping strength and three independent rubber pads attach to almost any bass drum with zero slippage. Smoothness and feel is also improved by adding a Dual Bearing spring rocker. Also on display will be the revolutionary new 9000 Series Airlift Stands – the 9300AL Airlift Snare Stand and the 9900AL Airlift Double Tom Stand.

PDP Maple Concept Kit in Red Sparkle

Introducing the all-new PDP Concept Series by DW – everything you’d expect from a kit designed by DW. PDP will be displaying the myriad of options available in the all-new CONCEPT SERIES – Maple or Birch shells, custom colours and pro boutique features like Suspension Tom Mounts, True Pitch tension rods, MAG throw off and durable lacquer finishes give pro DW features in an affordable kit. Also look out for a special guess performing on the PDP stand…!

Gon Bops El Toro Cajon

As well as a broad selection of all things percussion, Gon Bops will have three brand new products on display: first up is the El Toro Cajon: named after highly-acclaimed percussionist Efrain Toro, the El Toro Cajon looks and sounds simply stunning, crafted from select Peruvian Mohena wood. Next up is the Fiesta Cajon, ideal for beginners and students, or as a “grab ‘n’ go” Cajon, a quality instrument at a smart price. Finally, the new Mariano Djembe: Crafted from Durian wood, selected for its light weight and strength, the new Mariano is a lightweight build with a compact top ring and traditional African shape.
